Magnitude 6.7 Earthquake Struck Off East Java, Indonesia


A Magnitude 6.7 earthquake struck off regions in East Java on Sunday, April 10th, at 02.00 PM (GMT+7). The epicenter was located 90 km southwest of Malang Regency with a depth of 25 kilometers.


According to the report we received from the Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) team in Mojokerto, the earthquake was quite extensive and even stretched to several areas outside East Java. Dozens of houses, schools, and a mosque are reported damaged. The increasing damages and casualties are still being investigated.




This earthquake shock was felt in the area of ​​Turen Karangkates, Malang, Blitar, Kediri, Trenggalek, Jombang, Nganjuk, Ponorogo, Madiun, Ngawi, Yogyakarta, West Lombok, Mataram, Kuta, Jimbaran, Denpasar, Mojokerto, Klaten, North Lombok, Sumbawa, Tabanan, Klungkung , Banjarnegara.
