Help Rebuild Damaged Mosque Affected by Disaster

Thursday, (14/01) to Friday (15/01) in the morning at 01:28 AM local time, an earthquake jolted Majene and its surrounding areas. The last earthquake that occurred was measuring 6.2 magnitude with the epicenter in 6 km northeast of Majene, West Sulawesi. The earthquake was also felt in Palu, Central Sulawesi and Makassar, South Sulawesi. 29 Districts affected. 91 people reportedly died, 2,118 injured. 77,562 people were displaced.

Several buildings were also severely damaged. Mainly public facilities such as mosques and prayer rooms in several areas in Majene and Mamuju. The mosque is a worship space and also for society to carry out a number of socio-religious services.

One of the musholla affected is the Babbu Janna Musholla which is located in Majene. The building wall collapsed, the ceiling was badly damaged, so it was very dangerous if the jama’ah used it for worship. In order to continue carrying out the daily worship, the community made a series of bamboo and tarpaulin. Under the shade of a simple tarpaulin they perform their prayers.

Your sadaqah will be implemented in the form of a temporary mosque building in the location of the mosque affected with measurement of 12 meter x 12 meter.

Let’s ensure our fellow affected victims who were affected by the disaster rebuild the damaged mosque so that they can worship safely and solemnly.
