Heavy rains in the beginning of this year which lasted for one week had caused floods, flash floods, landslides, and storms in several areas in Banten and West Java. Until now, thousands of people have been living in refugee camps since their homes are damaged.
The disasters have passed, the floods have receded, yet people are still suffering due to the heavy damages to buildings such as houses, schools, mosques, and bridges. Even some of those buildings are totally lost or missing after being swept away by the flash floods.
Until today, thousands of the survivors have been living in evacuation area and makeshift camps. They urgently need help to meet their basic needs because they cannot work and continue living as usual.
Until the end of February, ACT Foundation had already distributed aid for more than 40,000 beneficiaries involving more than 1,200 volunteers. Unfortunately, the survivors still need more help to fulfill their basic needs such as food, water distribution, and medical services.
For this campaign, ACT Foundation would want to rally support in a form of donation to deliver food aid (ready-to-eat hot meals) for hundreds of people in Lebak and/or Bogor. Let's bring their smiles back by donating or by sharing this information to your friends and family.
